Poudre Valley Playboys

Poudre Valley Playboys, a collaboration of Colorado guitar phenomenon Josh Long and upright bass aficionado Mark Verschoor, is high-octane classic country-rockabilly-surf music that gets any crowd jumping and hollering within the first few bars.

Josh and Mark dig deep into the archives to pull out some overlooked gems of yesteryear in addition to cult classics from the rockabilly, country, and surf music scenes. A typical mixing-it-up medley they’ll do is “Ghost Riders in the Sky” mixed with “El Cumbanchero.” With Mark Vershoor’s powerhouse bass licks and Josh Long’s riveting electric guitar riffs, this duo sounds like a full band on fire.

Tiny Pockets

Tiny Pockets started in the summer of 2023. Ken, the guitarist and bassist, hired some friends for what was supposed to be a one-off gig. That one gig turned quickly into a dedicated band, playing as often as possible everywhere they could in Colorado. Tiny Pockets is based in Colorado Springs, but has played in Denver, Manitou, Pueblo, Woodland Park, Castle Rock – and all the way down to Durango! They are known for their huge variety of styles and artists, and their infectious energy that gets crowds up and dancing every time. They play covers like Whitney Houston, Taylor Swift, AC/DC, Tim McGraw, The Cranberries, Shaggy, and many more. Tiny Pockets strives to play as many genres as possible so everyone has something they can sing along to – a “pocket” for everyone. anywhere. The name “Tiny Pockets” is both a nod to their goal of the variety in music, and the only thing the whole band could agree on.

Beloved Invaders

The Beloved Invaders play instrumental surf, featuring both originals and covers of classic and modern surf tunes.

Now if you’re thinking beach music, consider all that is surf: Dick Dale’s classic “Misirlou” from Pulp Fiction, the reverb-drenched guitar sound of “Pipeline”, the Latin groove of “Sway”, the jazzy sounds of Duke Ellington’s “Caravan”, the desert theme from “Lawrence of Arabia”, the spy classics “Hawaii Five-O” and “The Fugitive”, the slow waltz of “Sleepwalk”, and the eastern-European slam-dance of “Dark Eyes”….

The Invaders play all of this and more, as well as their original compositions, which alternate between driving and jazzy, haunting and exotic.

All of it is music that will make you move, all done in retro-fashion – the real deal.
